5 easy hairstyles for curly hair

Since the more you touch curly hair the frizzier it becomes, don't touch, comb, or brush your hair too much for any of these styles

All of them are great for everyday!

Hairstyle #1 - This hair style is supposed to be poofy and kind of wild, it looks great if you have long curly hair or shoulder length curly hair, even if you have short curly hair it still looks nice.

Wash your hair or wet your hair, and while its still wet/damp, style your hair and put something in your hair that tames frizz.  I recommend Argan oil, and whenever I do this hair style Argan oil works the best for me.

Next, the only thing you have to do is let your hair air dry completely, and that's it!

Hairstyle #2 - Your hair style can be long or short for this hairstyle

After you wash your hair, style your hair how you want and then, apply a mousse that is flexible, but strong to your hair while your is still soaking wet.  Make sure to use a mousse that will keep your hair from getting frizzy in humidity. I use Tresemme's extra firm control mousse, and its all day humidity resistance.

Hairstyle #3 - This hairstyle will work for long or shoulder length curly hair, and you should do this at night before you go to bed

After you wash your hair, towel dry it until its damp, but for the most part still wet. When you towel dry it, ONLY dab your hair with a the towel, DO NOT rub your hair with the towel.

Again, put Argan oil, or Chi silk infusion, or something in your hair that will eliminate frizz, and braid your hair in about 5-7 braids, after you dry it with the towel. Something like 3 braids in the back and 3 in the front, but make sure to put your part where you
want it to be.

When you take them out the next day,  your hair will be wavy, and it should be shiny from the product you put in.  Your hair will clump together from the braids, but you can separate it, and  kind of play with it until it looks right.

Hairstyle #4 - This one is really easy and its for hair of any length

Your hair can be wet or damp, but you can put Argan oil in your hair, then if you want you can apply a curl cream, then get your diffuser out, put it on your blow dryer, and diffuse your hair!  you can put in the argan oil before or after you diffuse your hair.

When using your diffuser, use cold air, because you want to eliminate frizz any way you can, and hot or warm air causes frizz

Hairstyle #5 - This style works best with long or shoulder length curly hair, and this should be done before bed so that your hair has time to air dry

All you do is, put some kind of product in your hair, I don't recommend anything that hardens when it dries, like mousse or gel.  Use something like a leave in conditioner, and put big rollers in your hair while its wet, and put the rollers in your hair according to the style you want, or where you want your part to be.

Take the rollers out when your hair is completely dry, and let your hair sit for a few minutes, then use your fingers to separate the curls and style your hair how you want. If you really have to you can touch up some of the curls with a curling iron/wand.

I really hope you liked this

Top 2 shampoos and conditioners that really work

These are drugstore shampoos and condtioner that I have found to be really good for their price, and they were actually better than some of my more erxpensive shampoos and conditioners, but I found them to be underestimated

1. My most favorite one on the list is the Organix Biotin & Collagen shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is not too drying and it is absolutley amazing what the conditioner does to your hair.

Here's a little story
After I bleached my hair from black to blonde and it was very damaged, dry, and frizzy, and this conditioner revived my hair, and I could literally feel my hair transform to more manageable, softer hair, while I was still in the shower washing my hair, I kid you not.

2. Biofusion
I use this shampoo and conditioner on my color treated hair, and my color did not run AT ALL, so I recommend Biofusion for color treated hair and and type of hair, because the conditioner was actually really good, and it made my hair very manageable, even after it dried.

Hope you liked this

Nano Titanium Babyliss Straightener

Hello, I haven't posted anything new in a few days because this week has been sooo hectic, but right now I have something new to talk about which is the Babyliss titanium straightener

First of all, I really love this straightener.  It goes through the hair so smooth, and it made my hair really sleek and shiny too.  Most straighteners are ceramic, or tourmaline, like the Chi.  I actually have the Chi, so I can compare, but the Babyliss is titanium, and it is suppose to be better for the hair.

It maintains the high heat temperature, it takes less time to style the hair with this straightener, and it styles the hair  from within, which is less damaging to the hair.

I got this set from Sally's, it comes with the straightener, and the mini travel blow dryer

Quick hair tip

Hey everyone, this is just a really quick, short hair tip that I wanted to share.

When straightening hair, escpecially, curly, frizzy, or poofy hair, place a brush or a fine tooth comb at our roots, and follow the brush/comb with your straightener.  Doing this makes a HUGE difference, and your hair comes out sooo much more straight, silkier no matter what product or straightener your using.

So, if your straightening your hair, do that, it works amazingly.
Happy straightening!

Healthy hair care routine

So, since I'm trying to grow out my hair, I did lots of research, and started a hair care routine.  I want my hair to grow healthy and thick, so I'm trying to take care of it better, and I'm going just going to list all of the healthy ways I take care of my hair, and hopefully this helps someone
 else too!

1. First of all, I don't wash my hair everyday.  I wash my hair every other day, because washing your hair everyday really dries it out, and could cause breakage

2. Stay away from heat.  I stopped straightening and blow drying my hair so much, and i started wearing it natural, and I wash my hair in COLD water

3. Clip your ends.  This is the most important, you want all of the damaged parts (split ends) to be out of your hair, to reduce breakage, and so that your hair can grow healthy.  I actually clip my own ends about every 2 weeks

4. Don't brush your hair when it's wet.  I used to brush my hair in the shower, but not I cringe when people say they brush their hair in the shower.  When your hair is wet it is more fragile and it gets pulled out more easily

5. Keep your hair moisturized.  Any Organix shampoo and conditioner is really really good for moisture, but protein is also really important to because protein makes the hair strong.  I use Organix thick & full biotin & collagen shampoo and conditioner, because it moisturizes and it has protein

6. Don't put your hair in ponytails or an hairstyle that is too tight, because this could cause permanent damage to the hair follicle.  Most of the time, I wear my hair in a loose messy bun, and it looks cute and it's not damaging

7. Don't brush your hair too much, because it's damaging, and can pull out your hair

8. If you do blow dry your hair, blow dry it when it's DRY.  This sounds strange, but let your hair airdry first, then blow dry it.  Like I said before, it's not good to brush your hair when it's wet, and your hair turns out a lot straighter when you blow dry it when it's dry

9. If you do use any hot styling tools, always use a heat protectant

Curly hair care

These are some tips for maintaining curly hair:

use cold water to wash curly hair, because heat, even hot water, will dry it out and make it frizzy

don't shampoo too much

don't wash curly hair everyday, because curly is more dry than straight hair, so if you wash curly hair everyday it will just be frizzy

always detangle curly hair before you get in the shower

don't brush or touch curly hair too much, that can make it frizzy

don't use pantene, eventually it builds up wax in your hair, and causes split ends

use your fingers to style curly hair, not a comb, or a brush

if you have curly hair, invest in a diffuser, because it defines your curls, and eliminates frizz

always keep curly hair moisturized, so that it doesn't become dry and frizzy

some hair products that work AMAZINGLY for taming curly hair, are Argan oil, Chi straight gaurd, Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti frizz serum - put any of these in your hair while it's damp, and then let it air dry

you can use a leave in conditioner if you want, but to me leaving conditioners are sticky, and create build up.  The products I mentioned are light on the hair

you can put a moisturizing product in your hair, braid your hair in two braids at night while its damp, and in the morning your hair will be wavy and moisturized!

don't towel dry, because towel drying curly hair will make it frizzy

pay close attention to the shampoo and conditioner you are using, because some shampoos and conditioners are not good for curly hair

Shampoo and conditioners that are good for curly hair are:

1. Organix coconut milk shampoo and conditioner

2. Mane n Tail shampoo and conditioner

3. Matrix sleek look shampoo and conditioner

Other hair products that I use on my curly hair and think are amazing are:

1. Organix brazilian keratin therapy hydrating keratin mask

2. Organix hydrating macadamia oil intensive moisture mask

Remy clip in hair extensions I got for a good price

All of my other sets of clip remy extensions were over $100.  One of my sets are kind of old and they're thin now, and so, I wanted new ones, but I did not want to spend 100 dollars, because I just recently bought brown chestnut extensions and they were pretty expensive too.

The longer the extensions are, the more expensive they are.  So, I was in search for 18" hair extensions that are remy, and less expensive, so I went on amazon, because the beauty supply store near me, only has expensive extensions.  So, on amazon, I saw these inexpensive extensions, and they got good reviews so, I bought them just to see if they were actually good, but I didn't think they were going to be.

Well to my surprise I got these really really good Remy clip in hair extensions, they're really soft  and silky, it comes with 7 wefts, and they were only $26!

I brushed them, and styled them to see if they would shed, and they actually didn't shed, now I have to see how long they will last, but I was so surprised that these were such good quality!  I'm so happy that I didn't spend another $100+ and  I think I'm going to buy more

Here's what they look like

Here is the link, if you want to be them from amazon too!

Bed Head Dual Waver

I got this new, heat styling tool!  Even though I know heat is bad for your hair I have soo many different styling things, but anyway, Its the Bed Head Dual Waver:

It's not a curler or a crimper, it makes pretty waves in your hair.  It's called a dual waver because,  it has two types of waves it can do, big loose waves, or small tighter waves.

I also have a curling wand by Unplugged, maybe I'll do a review on my curling wand too, but I'm not sure which one I like better, because the curling wand and the waver give you different hair styles, but this waver gives really pretty results and VOLUME!

You can lock it closed for storing it,

AND one other great thing about it is, it was only $22!

I did a small section of my hair, I took the picture a little bit later, and I didn't spray my hair so the waves started to fall, but here's what it looks like

Also, I got this waver from amazon, if you want to get it from amazon here is the link

How to make highlights with hair extensions look natural

Okay, so this is a tutorial on how to make highlights using hair extensions, and making them look natural!

First of all, whether I want highlights or not, the way I make extensions look natural is by using different lengths of hair.  The longer length on the bottom to the middle, the shorter length starting at the middle to the top  (see my other post, about making hair extensions look natural).

I have 18" in jet black, 18" in the color 1b, 14" in espresso, and 14" in light brown.  I use the light brown to make the highlights, and like I said in the other post, I start off with the longest at the bottom.  So, for example, I put all of the 18" jet black at the bottom and all of the 14" espresso at the top as usual, but I put the 14" light brown extensions between the jet black and the espresso extensions.

This is what mine looks like

You don't have to use 3 or, 4 different colors, but make sure you get the colors in the lengths, you want on the bottom, or the top.  Put the highlight extensions between your normal colored extensions, and don't forget to do the sides.

Revlon lip butter and hair stuff

So, this is an updated post of the Revlon Lip butter in the color cupcake
this is what it looks like

It looks like lip stick, but it feels like lip gloss and I love this because it's not thin and, you can wear it by it's self, and not on top of a lipstick.

Also, there's these hair products that I really love, and they work, called Chi Straight Guard and Chi Silk
Infusion.

The red one is Chi Straight Guard, and the silver one is Chi Silk Infusion.

The straight guard makes your hair so soft and eliminates frizz, and the silk infusion also makes your hair really soft, and moisturized.  They both ultimately make your hair more straight, and sleek, and shiny when you straighten it.

I have very curly, sometimes frizzy, poofy hair, and these products work AMAZINGLY for my hair!  It makes my hair straighter when I straighten it, shiny, soft, and it protects it from heat.  I even use the straight guard when my hair is curly because, it really tames the frizz, and defines my curls without having to use gel, or mousse

So, even if you don't have curly, or frizzy hair, if you can't get your hair as straight as you want, or if you can't tame frizziness, you really really should get this!

If you want you can buy these to from amazon!

Blending hair extensions with short hair

These are my tips on blending hair extensions with short hair, and making them look natural:

Okay, so, clip in hair extensions, or any type of hair extensions can be really hard to blend with short hair.  Sometimes, when people wear extensions, there's an obvious cut off point where their hair ends, it looks really unnatural, and you can tell they're wearing extensions.  My first tip is to make sure the color matches your own hair, or, the color should be very close to your own hair.

Also, one thing that I've found that works in making extensions look more natural, is mixing different lengths.  For example,  I would put 18" extensions at the nape, and up to the middle, and I put 14" at the middle, and to the top.  The reason I don't use 16" is because it's so close in length to 18", it doesn't give it the layered, natural look.

If you want, after you put all of your extensions in, you should brush your hair and the extensions together, and straighten them together.

How to make curly hair stay straight, even in humidity

I have very curly hair, and doing these steps, work for me, so I hope it works for you too!

Step 1.  Shampoo hair, rinse in COLD water. Condition hair and also rinse in cold water.  Use cold water because, hot water makes hair dry, and you need as much moisture as possible, so that your hair doesn't take in moisture from the humid air, and become frizzy.

Step 2.  Let hair air dry, or towel dry really well.  Do not blow dry when hair is wet, it's not to brush hair when its wet, because it is wore fragile when wet.  Also, hair gets straighter when you blow it dry it when it's already dry anyways.  Read step 3 be fore you blow dry.

Step 3.  Before you Blow dry your hair, put  a dime sized amount of Chi Straight guard or Argan Oil on air dried hair.  After you put the product in, blow dry. :)

Step 4.  Put Chi Silk Infusion or Argan oil on blow dried hair, and proceed to straighten

Step 5.  This step is optional, but since straightened hair can sometimes be dry, it tends to soak up the moisture in the air.  For extra protection, you can put Chi Silk Infusion or Argan oil all through the hair, to make sure it has enough moisture.
