Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse Foundation

Sooo, I like this foundation, and I feel like its a good drugstore product. However, this foundation is kind of thick, but I think the consistency is nice.

Its for normal to dry skin, its pretty moisturizing, and it has good coverage without being too heavy. When applying it, don't take too much on the brush at first because it covers pretty well, and if you put on too much it could look cakey.

I applied this foundation with the Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki and dabbed it on, and then blended it.

If you want a drugstore foundation that has good coverage, I think this is a good one, especially for the summer because its light and it doesn't feel heavy on your face.

Pros:
normal to dry skin
not heavy
good coverage

Cons:
can look cakey

Overall I think this is a pretty good product and its worth it to try.

Hope this helped!

NYX jumbo pencil in milk

I love this pencil!! Even though it doesn't seem like that big of a deal, its a really good product. Its so bright and when its used an eye shadow base, it makes the eye shadow show up better, and it perfect to use as a base under the highlight color in the tear duct

I would appreciate it so much if you would follow or subscribe<3

Conceal dark undereye circles

Believe me when I say these two products together REALLY work when covering dark circles, and I've been through countless products.

So, I recommend these to anyone who can't find a way to cover they're dark circles as much as they want. PLEASE try this you won't be disappointed!

The first product I use is I the NYX dark circle concealer. Its an orange pigment that counteracts purple dark circles and it goes under your concealer. It comes in a lighter tone, a medium tone, and a darker tone, but all them are orange.

The second product I use is Glamoflauge concealer by Hardy Candy. Wait for the NYX dark cicrle concealer to dry a little bit, then put the Glamoflauge concealer on top of it, then set it it with powder and your done!

I added these products to the shop my favorite products tab, so that anyone can easily purchase them if you like them

Have a good day!

Glamoflage Concealer by Hard Candy

First of all, happy halloween!  Second of all, I'm coming at you with a product review of something that I think is absolutley wonderful.  Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer.  First, I just want to point out, I love Nars creamy concealer, and I think its great, but its a little pricey.  Seriously, if you don't want to buy the Nars concealer, buy the Glamoflauge concealer by Hard Candy because it works AMAZING. You can layer the Glamflauge concealer, and by that I mean, if you use it under your eye, and its not enough coverage, wait fot the first layer to dry, and then put on a second layer.

I highly recommend this concealer, especial for dark circles under eyes.  The concealer also comes with a concealer pencil.  You outline the area and fill it in with the concealer pencil, then you do a layer of the Glamoflauge concealer.

Comment and let me know if what you think or if you like this product too!

Covering self harm scars

This post is a makeup tutorial, so if you are interested keep reading!

First, I want to say, hiding scars really depends on how visible the scars are.  If they are very noticeable, it will be harder to cover them.

So, I'm going to talk about how to cover scars because it's summer! and no one wants to wear long sleeved shirts, or jeans

I used regular makeup, and it only takes 3 steps!

1. Cover the whole area of scars with liquid foundation
use a face makeup brush to blend it in, so it won't look cakey.

2. Apply concealer over the foundation
I heard Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer is really good.  Use the right color of concealer to counteract the color of the scars.  If the scars or redish or pinkish, use a green concealer.  If the scars are dark, or purpleish, use a yellow concealer.  Blend the concealer

3. Make sure it looks natural
If your skin now has a green, or yellow tint,  put enough foundation on top of the concealer to make the yellow or green go away.  Don't put so much foundation that it erases the concealer.  Lightly blend it in, but don't blend too hard, because if you move the product around too much, it won't cover the scars that well

Also, I didn't just want to hide the scars, I wanted them to fade too.  I used Bio-oil to help them fade (which did kind of work, but they usually fade with time), and while I was waiting for them to fade, I covered them with makeup

Please comment, because I really want to know your thoughts on this! and I would be so happy if this helped someone!

Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki

Hey everyone! It's soo sunny and hot out, but I'm really happy it's summer now!

Anyway, today's post is a review about this makeup brush I got, that I think is sooo great!

Sigma Flat Kabuki

I LOVE this brush, it looks so pretty, and it works beautifully!  It's so soft, and its works amazing for applying liquid foundation, and since it's really dense, it blends face makeup really well, and it gives you such a pretty, natural air brushed look!

High end makeup VS Drugstore makeup

Okay, so, I have to admit if I had to choose between high end makeup and drugstore makeup, I would choose the high end makeup, because I always feel like "you get what you pay for", but I don't always want to spend sooo much money for like one makeup brush, or a palette with only for colors.

There's little things you can do to make the quality of drugstore makeup better.  For instance, if the eye shadow isn't really that pigmented, you can use a base, or a primer to make it last longer, and show up better.

I didn't want to spend that much on a base, so I bought the NYX eyeshadow base, and ELF's eye shadow primer, and I actually like both of them

I'm going to show pictures, and compare the high end makeup and the drugstore makeup up.  I used the Elf base with both of them, and I tried to find similar colors

Revlon Color Stay palette VS Urban Decay Naked Basics palette

I'm using the ELF primer on both eyes, and the left eye is the naked basics palette, and the right eye is the revlon colorstay palette

The urban decay was a lot easier to put on, and it has a lot more coverage, it was also more easy to  do the wing at the end.

Both of my eyes look just as good for the most part, but the revlon eye shadow, goes on a lot more sheer, and you have to use a lot of coats, and more shadow, to make it look as pigmented as the urban decay.

Hope you liked this!

Best makeup products

This is one of my favorite items in my makeup, I use it everyday, and it's the most versatile.

The Urban Decay Naked Basics palette

This palette is absolutley perfect! and you can use it for so many different looks.  To me, this is one of the most important makeup items, because it's really really nice for everyday, and even for special occasions.  I recommend this palette to everyone, or, I think everyone should at least have one palette with just natural matte eye shadows

An alternative to the this palette, is the NYX Natural Shadow Palette, it has six eye shadows, and they're very similar in color to the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette

Taylor Swift natural smokey eye: tutorial

Apply primer to your eyelids, I'm using the NYX eyeshadow base in white,
 and shape your eyebrows

1. I swept a tan/gold color over my lid

2. I added a taupe color right above the gold, into the crease, and I pulled it outward, and blend

3. Add a dark brown eye shadow to the outer corner and the crease, on top of the taupe, and keep the dark brown above the gold and under the taupe, and blend

4. Line the the outer corner of your lid with black eye shadow, and lightly shade your outer V with black eye shadow, and a little bit into the crease and blend

5. Line your bottom lash line for a smoldery look, with the same dark brown shadow

6. Apply your eyeliner and mascara like you normally would

Hope you enjoyed this<3 and remember to comment, or follow me on twitter!

Makeup don'ts

1. applying eye makeup or face makeup to dry skin: this makes your face look cakey, especially if your wearing powder foundation, or concealer

2. wearing shimmery makeup:  shimmery in the inner corners of your eyes or on the lid is okay, but don't put shimmery eye shadows up to your brow bone.  Same thing for shimmery bronzers, if you want your face to look glowy, instead of using shimmer, use a bronzer that's kind of dewy

3. dark colors make your eyes look smaller: don't rim your eyes with black eyeliner, because black, or dark colors slim your eyes, you can still use black eye liner but don't make it too thick

4. don't use concealer that is lighter than your skintone: if your concealer is too light, it leaves a ring around your eyes that is lighter than your complexion

5. wearing the wrong shade of foundation: you don't want your face to be a different color than the rest of your body, and you don't want it to be obvious that your wearing foundation, or makeup

6. sleeping with makeup: this can cause you to break out

7. sleeping with mascara on: the mascara weighs your eyelashes down will your sleeping, and can cause your eyelashes to break

White and blue makeup tutorial

I start with a white eye shadow base, with just a a regular white eye shadow on the lid.  Then I lightly put a navy blue shadow on the outer corner

I put a dark purple on top of the blue

I really lightly put black eye shadow on top of the blue and purple, and I concentrated it more towards the outer corner

I lined the inner corner half way with white eye shadow, and then, I usually tight line my upper lash line, and go above the tight line with liquid eyeliner, and line my bottom waterline half way with black eyeliner

Top drugstore makeup brushes

These are my favorite drugstore makeup brushes that I actually use

Elf

The one on the left is flat top brush, I use it with liquid foundation

The one on the right is an eye brush, and I like it because it picks up a lot of product

Soho

The one on the left is another flat top brush

The middle brush is a contour brush

The brush on the right is an eye brush, and it's for your crease

Soho

This is a three piece set of brushes, and they're all eye brushes

Eco Tools

These are all eye brushes, but they didn't come in the same set.  They're soft, and most importantly Eco Tools brushes are cruelty free!

Best mascaras

Helloooo, alright, so, I have tried out SOOO many mascaras, including terrible ones, and great ones, and with all of the mascaras that I've tried, I found some great ones, and I'm going to share them with all of you.

These are drugstore mascaras, that I think make my eyelashes look the best, and I always get compliments when I use these mascaras.  People even ask if my eyelashes are fake

I use these everyday, and they are pretty much a staple in my makeup

By the way, I do use all of these mascaras at the same time and thats what gives my big, full, long eyelashes

Glam Eyes by Rimmel London

This mascara works really really nicely for length. When I do my mascara, this is always the first mascara I use

Lash Stiletto by Maybelline

This is another great length mascara,  It really does make my lashes look extra long, and I usually use this mascara between coats

Falsies Flared by Maybelline

I love this mascara, because it makes your eye lashes long and full, it really separates your lashes and it doesn't come out clumpy at all

And lastly, The Rocket by Maybelline

I really like the rocket, because it really does make my lashes really big and voluminous, and it gives me the extra fullness I would like in my lashes

12 makeup tips

1. don't put liquid foundation all over your face, just put it in the spots that need coverage

2. before you put on your foundation, always mousturize your skin first, because putting foundation, or any makeup on skin that is not moisturized, makes your makeup look cakey

3. if you have oily eyelids, urban decay primer potion is a good eye shadow primer

4. clean your makeup brushes, so that you don't break out

5. use beige or white eyeliner to brighten your eyes

6. when applying mascara, separate the eyelashes with an eyelash brush between each coat

7. if you have oily skin, use a matte bronzer, because a shimmery bronzer can make the skin look greasy

8. put more mascara on the top eyelashes, then the lower eyelashes

9. moisturize your face, then put on primer, then put on your foundation

10. if your makeup looks cakey, use a setting spray

11. for an airbrushed look, use a flat top brush to apply liquid foundation

12. use a mascara primer to make lashes look fuller, longer, and more defined

How to get thick, long, eyelashes with mascara

They are different Tips and tricks you can do to make your eyelashes look longer and thicker without using fake lashes.

I'm just going to list things you can do to make your lashes thicker and  longer, and at the end, I'll tell you my favorite mascaras, that I think actually think work, in making your eyelashes look better.

and I always use a length mascara and a volume mascara, sometime I use several different length and volume mascaras

Make your eyelashes look thicker

brush your eyelashes first

tight line your top lash line to make your lashes look fuller

you can use liquid eyeliner as a primer on your eyelashes, to make mascara show up better

use a volume mascara

blink as you coat your lashes with mascara

don't focus on putting a lot of mascara on your eyelashes, instead try to separate your lashes with the mascara brush, as your putting on coats

Make your eyelashes look longer

use a few coats of length mascara, before your volume mascara

always curl your lashes

blink while you apply mascara

make sure you get mascara on the tips of your eyelashes

wiggle the brush from side to side as you pull it through your lashes

look down while you pull the mascara brush up, to make sure your eyelashes are really going into the brush

after you use your volume mascara, put a coat, or two more of length mascara, especially on the tips of your eyelashes

For volume I really like the Rocket mascara and Falsies Flared by Maybelline for volume,

and for length, I like Lash Stiletto by Maybelline, Illegal Length by Maybelline, and Glam Eyes by Rimmel London

Black and beige eye makeup: tutorial

I love these colors together, because the go with anything, and they really can complement anyones complexion or eye color

First step, use an eye shadow base, as usual, I used the NYX eye shadow base in white.  After you put on your base, apply the tan/ beige eye shadow all over the lid

Second step, add black too the crease.  Since black is such a bold color start off adding it lightly, because you don't want to put too much, and add more if you need to.  keep majority of the black to the outside corner of the eyes

Third step, highlight under brow bone.  I used the same tan, an applied over the black and i blending the black upward into the tan, then i used an off white color on the brow bone

Fourth step, tight line top lash line, and add liquid liner over your top lashes.  You can go corner to corner, or just half way, I went half way.  Line your bottom lashes with black shadow, with an angled brush, and then black eye liner. Finish off with mascara on top and bottom lashes
